Dr. Naomi Ennis

Dr. Naomi Ennis is a clinical psychologist at CarePoint Health. She serves as the Regional Clinical and Training lead for the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy program in the Brampton-Halton Mississauga region. In this role, she primarily provides clinical leadership, training and consultation to mental health therapists in the delivery of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). 


Dr. Ennis received her Master's and PhD degrees in Psychology (Clinical) from the Department of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). She completed her predoctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she specialized in traumatic stress studies. 


Dr. Ennis completed a CIHR-funded postdoctoral fellowship within the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Centre at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Ennis’s research focuses on enhancing access to and effectiveness of evidence-based treatments for mental health concerns, with a focus on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). 


Her research spans from the identification of risk factors for posttraumatic psychopathology to ways to culturally adapt trauma-focused interventions and leverage technology to meet the needs of diverse populations. She has 24 peer-reviewed publications, two book chapters, and over 40 presentations at national and international conferences.
